My heart aches for them both。 Donnelly and Luna I fucking love you guys。 I just can’t comprehend how the story ended。 Guy I didn’t get the ending I needed 😭😭😭 but it’s fine because I know this is not sooner or later，” Eliot sighs。 “Which aliens should we go fight， brother？” “Every single one。 Leave none alive。”“You know what I can’t believe？ You fell through a ceiling and we missed it。” “Not just that we missed it，” Eliot chimes in， “that we weren’t the ones who fell with you。”“Tom Carraway Cobalt has always been an ember in the dark。 Eliot is the one burning and burning on fire。”3） the triple date。 Oscar almost on the verge of getting a heart attack （if you guys know what I’m talking about 😏）4） how Beckett was jealous of jo going on a date。 Guys I might have gone to heaven。 We know their book is going to be an enemies to lovers trope。 Can’t wait for their book<3335） Xander and Easton Mulligan。 Their friendship makes my heart melt。 I def have this theory that maybe xander is going to get a book with easton idk they both have too many scenes even if it’s like hinted that xander is straight based on the mention of Delilah but still。 He can be exactly like jack highland。 Either way I love them both。 My favourite scene of them-“My brother has never looked happier。 “You made it？！” Easton is grinning at Xander。 “I snuck out！” “No way， man。” They basically tackle each other in a hug， and they bounce onto the dance floor together。”6） lily and lo content。 I literally was crying because we got so much content of the parents。 My favourite scenes and mentions of them-“Huh， so you aren’t a son of mine。” He looks to Mom。 “Lil， turn around。 We forgot our kids。 We should dump the imposters。”“If there were a cupid hierarchy， my mom would be at the very top。 She has set soul mates in motion multiple times by unintentionally helping them cross paths。 It’s a subconscious gift。 One of her many superpowers。”（Lily does have a superpower <3）“Most people say that Loren Hale is sharp like a dagger。 But I’ve always thought my dad is more like a lightsaber。 Wielded only against enemies。 Boiling hot， able to strike right through and cauterize the wound so you’re forced to look down and see what he’s done。”“She sinks her teeth into the tortilla。 Sauce dribbles down her chin， and he wipes it up for her too。 She’s blushing， and he even plants a kiss on her cheek before giving her a wait for her。 That ending sucked but then again I knew where he was coming from and somewhere down the line I thing even Donnelly was relieved lo said that because he knew that Luna could be in danger and he wanted to sort his shit out first with his family。 God I hate his family。 They did him so dirty 8） Charlie helping Luna without even wanting nothing in return。 He loves her but won’t admit it。 My baby has grown 10） the Yale boys <333“Remember when I said that thing about understanding the power and bond of a sibling？ That’s because I always wanted a brother。 I fell into some luck， and I ended up getting two。”11） Donnelly’s daily journal12） Donelly looking on 12 diff sites to see if their signs were compatible for Luna shutup this is so sweet。 The way he calls he space babe 13） he replaying her fantasy for her。 Now that scene was just hot。 Full on blushing kind of hot 🥵 14）everything about lunelly Now Lunelly moments which have my heart 🫶🏻“I’ve never really been friends with a girl。 And she’s the first girl that’s just a friend to me， and it’s been fucking me up， honestly。”“But I’m hanging on to the one world where we are something more。 Versions of us that are falling in I’m in loveI waited for Luna and Donnelly’s story and I am so glad I did。 I love Becca and Krista Ritchie！ Well plotted tale that takes you through the gamut of emotions。 Our two favorite underdog misfits are perfect for each other but Paul Donnelly can’t outrun his past and he must deal with it before he can have the only thing he’s ever really wanted， Luna Hale。 This book ends on a cliffhanger but it is so well written you won’t want to miss what happens。 Amazing story。

I do not even know what to say - you could tell the whole plot of this book in five sentences and all the other stuff is just fillers。 And I love Donnelly and Luna but there is no plausibility， no why it is clear that they are in love like that。 And don't get me started with Loren; his behavior is not just concerned about the well-being of Luna he is just an asshole。 Which makes me sad。 I am pained to say sometimes there is just not enough story to justify a trilogy。 It feels like the just want I do not even know what to say - you could tell the whole plot of this book in five sentences and all the other stuff is just fillers。 And I love Donnelly and Luna but there is no plausibility， no why it is clear that they are in love like that。 And don't get me started with Loren; his behavior is not just concerned about the well-being of Luna he is just an asshole。 Which makes me sad。 I am pained to say sometimes there is just not enough story to justify a trilogy。 It feels like the just want to make as much money as possible from this series。 I already cancelled my patreon。 I thinks it is time to say goodbye to these guys even if it breaks my heart because I love Marrow but even there story doesn't get better。 Sometimes it ist just all said。 Not going to rate because I just can't。Edit: Forgot the hissing scene in the cafeteria are you shitting me？ First OA is a shit show I'm my opinion who tries to be all mysterious but is just fucked up。 And that is Lunas reaction to a bully really？ Sorry but that is not cute weird that us mental like please see a doctor that is what happens when you want to create a weird girl and have no idea how。 FUCKED UP！！ 。。。more

3/5 because I did like it， but I did not love it。 This just had so much more potential than it gave。Least favorite things: 1。 STOP MENTIONING THE TRIAD！ I hated those books I painfully read the first， DNF'd the second， and did not bother with the third。 I hate Sully so much。 I also really disliked Akara。 I wish she had never come back from vacation。 I enjoyed Luna's friendship with Tom and Elliot much more。2。 The talking about the BASS show took up do much plot time potential。3。 The bullying nee 3/5 because I did like it， but I did not love it。 This just had so much more potential than it her own thing in college。4。 Luna is an awesome big sis and cousin with her attempting to meet them in the attic， go on triple dates （which she doesn't want）， and being a dance chaperone。5。 Xander doing more on his own， and being happier。 I want the best for him。 Please do not put him with his best friend。 I'm begging here 6。 Donnelly's love for Philly。 As a Philly suburb girl myself， this gives me the greatest happiness。 Also hardcore argue tasty cake over Little Debbie。 Add in some Burch Beer， Tomato Pie， Herr's potato chips， and Turkey Hill ice teas and ice creams。 We got ourselves a Philly food party。 7。 Frog and Luna's relationship。 Frog was new to me having skipped the last two books because of the unmentionables。 I can see Frog being paired with Kinney。 Not sure if I love that pairing yet， but get why FRog was written in。 8。 The dark Donelly family history。 I like many other fans of this series live for the drama。 Bring on the messy and dark trama-filled family history。 I am here for it。 I think they were probably struggling to write it given its late release， or the editor cut too much。 Hear me out。 I started with the Like US series， not their parent's books/series。 I read mainly romance， and M/M romance is my favorite。 My bloggers/reviewers always mentioned our favorite Marrow couple so I dove right。 Marrow remains my favorite couple， but I also loved oscar and Jack's story， but because I started with a Hale， the Hale family has a special place in my heart。I keep seeing a lot of other reviews leaving bad comments because they are upset this is not a Cobolt story， which I get waiting for your favorites to come up is taxing。 BUT。 BUT。 BUT looking forward to Luna and Donnelly's story because they have had chemistry since book two when they were on the bus on tour。 This story has been waiting for nine books to be published。 That all being said Luna is my least favorite Hale。 Maxioff/ Farrow Hales first。 Xander my anxiety twin is next。 Kinney because as a queer woman myself whose favorite holiday is Halloween and loves all things witchy she is like my book soul sister。 Luna was kinda the leftover Hale， but I am still CAMP HALE over all else。 PLUS PLUS I love me all the Yale boys first。 （Just now noticed all the Yale boys have an O in their names and the rest of SFO does not。 International bonding them together？ I think so） Farrow first always and tied for the second spot are oscar and Donnelly。 So I was waiting for this to come to life。I get that Luna is the odd duck and that Donnelly has a dark past but it was not done， how I thought it was going to be done。 Luna before this book has more confidence and danced to her own drum proudly。 I felt reading about her character with all the bullying and how much it affected her was a back slide as far as character development。 She had already moved past this。 I love seeing her in a college setting trying to figure herself out， and maturing， and then bringing in her middle/high school bully was just so the authors could have Donnelly feel bad for her and want to protect her more/ love her。 She does not need his pity love。 Nor should Donelly be giving it。 That goes against both of their characters。 Like hiding her true self for the douchecanoe formally known as Andrew type of backsliding。 In book two she stole a car， drove across the country， and talked about her drug use and unashamed sex life to her older and younger siblings。 She was never too embarrassed to function then。 The weird dance seen in the restaurant/ Penn dining hall was cringy。 For all the build-up of Lo's reaction， I was kinda let down there a bit because I felt his statement of "not yet" should be a yes because other than the family beating up a bodyguard， all they have is a few sentences about how dark his family can get。 I mean drug use， blackmail， and jail time is brought up， but honestly having read all the other books， that is like nothing in these families lives。 They have house fires， hard-core stalkers， internet doxing， and mental abuse from the grandmother， potentially physical from Lo's dad。 This is like everyday stuff for them。 I also see the authors implying Donnelly was either forced to turn tricks or did so by 'choice' for money。 I see that being a big thing in book two or three。 We as readers knew exactly how dark the Donnelly family can get， but Lo did not know what we do。 Just the Yale boys， and Maxioff。 Plus it seems more Donelly has yet to share with Farrow and therefore everyone else。 I also felt kinda jipped having waited so long for their story to have Donnally's daily panner and their fandom DMs took up a lot of the space here。 I did love their conversations but for the longest time， they did not even know those online DMs were each other。 PLUS they did not even really get together like a kiss or anything other than what happened in previous books till past the 85% mark。 Which I get seeing as they turned this into a three-part book break up in this series but then do not space out the publishing from each book so far from one another。 The favorite line comes from that section though。“Yeah， I know，” he breathes。 “But I’d rather take this moment for what it is than be afraid of tomorrow。”I just loved both of these characters so much and this story for them that's been brewing for 9 books， this long drawn out almost slow burn， was such a letdown。Some predictions that I both like and extreme dislike。 Charlie - the surrogate MK。 would be so funny， a woman who doesn't wanna be in the spotlight， and was Maxioffs before Charlie's bc he was her surrogate。 I can see it。 Would not be my first choice but would be SOOO funny。 Plus a great way for the authors to get back at the charlie fans would are tearing them apart in the Goodreads comments and elsewhere。 Beckett-Jo （duh like we all know there book is coming） I am hoping after the Luna/ Doneely series。Eliot- Harriet Fisher， can see the super smart lab partner/ musician and our Dyslexic King together。 Tom- Chris O'Malley or Gade Montgomery。 no one else fits unless they gonna make Quinn jump teams but I think he's gonna end up with Audrey。 I know O/Malley is 29 to toms 20， but nine years？ With this series that would be no surprise。 Then they could use Gabe with one of the girl squad。Xander- his best friend Easton Mulligan。 I would deeply， deeply hate this。 The only beautiful and simpleThis book was good not as dramatic to me but I know the next will be a world wind。 I’m not a big MM fan but this one was so heart warming and it told a story of 2 beautiful souls who would be considered weird but are just unique。 Anxiety is real y’all and I love this couple out of all so far tbh。 Just waiting for Charlie’s moment。
